HI, I’m Madison
I see therapy as a coming together, an exploration, and a place to look inward - to see and be seen.
As a therapist, I am warm, curious, and non judgemental. I am interested in challenging you gently (and sometimes not so gently!), exploring different perspectives, and supporting you in zooming out and tuning in. My approach is deeply compassionate, sometimes whimsical, and tailored to your needs and goals. I believe in the inherent wisdom of the mind, body, and spirit, as well as the power of nature and creativity in healing and growth. It is an honor and a privilege to work with fellow humans in this way.
I received my BA in communication and studio art from Cal Poly Humboldt, and my MA in counseling psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.
In my spare time you’ll find me spending time with my pets, enjoying the outdoors, reading, and creating!
My areas of experience and interest include…
Identity, only children, complex or unusual family systems, creative hobbies and careers, children of parents who come out later in life, death and dying, grief, equestrian sports, boundaries, food service, healthcare workers, folks living in rural communities, theater, navigating higher education, and the general challenges of being a person.
About our work together
The most important part of successful therapy is the relationship between client and clinician. Creating a container where you can be all that you are is at the front of how I aim to show up for you.
I utilize a client centered framework with a trauma informed lens. We get to work together to navigate what feels right for you and how best to approach your goals.
50 minute in person or virtual sessions are offered at weekly or bi-weekly intervals.
